My background
I'm from a small southern city, Baton Rouge, La. I am currently working as a Labor and Delivery nurse, which is extremely rewarding and extremely stressful. I attended LSU for a year, where I was a Theta then transferred to Southeastern for their nursing program...only took me 5 years to finish :). I graduated in May 2011 as Erin Gauthier, BSN, RN, best feeling in the world. I am thinking about getting my Masters as nurse educator and teaching OB. I have a awesome supportive family and great group of friends.
Why start a blog about books??
As a night nurse, we sometimes have a lot of down time so as a result I read.. A LOT. I have always loved to read since I was little. Yes, I was that girl who ALWAYS read her summer reading and actually enjoyed it. Some of my favorite books have come from summer reading. My friend, Jennifer and I were eating at De'angelo's (yum!) the other night and I asked her if it'd be lame to start a blog about books... she said NO! and that she'd be my first follower :) I can't go to Barnes and Noble without buying three books at a time (of course I have a membership). For me reading is about getting lost in a great book. I love connecting with the characters to the point that they seem real. I love lots of different genres and I can't wait to start sharing!
