High Five for Friday!

I've had an extremely productive Friday! How's y'alls?? 

1. I bought some awesome new make-up this week! Goodbye oily, shiny skin :) Shown in my picture is Smashbox bronzer, Urban Decay de-stick make-up setting spray, and Tarte foundation. So far, I've had great results. 

2. I finally bought some new nursing shoes. Everyone wears them and has been bragging, plus my tennis shoes are killing my back. Hope these work! 

3. My brother went to Houston and brought me back some badass headphones I've been wanting but wouldn't buy. They're awesome...blocks out all outside noise! 

4. Woman's orientation has been kicking my ass so I've been asleep for 9:30pm these last few weeks, therefore my reading has been minimal. I'm still working on Lost Light by Michael Connelly but these 3 are what's up next. Anyone read any of them? 

5. Guess what's next month....Mardi Gras!! Can't wait for Spanishtown! "Tis the season of king cakes, beads, drinking and parades!

High notes so far this week..

This little treat FINALLY came in the mail and it's ALL i've been watching!!! God, I love Mr. Big ;)

Check out the new 225! This is a great starting place to find some place to mingle, eat, listen to bands and be social. There's always tons of stuff going on in BR. Plus, here is where I found out that Sammy's already has CRAWFISH! Yeehaw!!! 

Nothing like reading a good book on a rainy day....for the 10th day in a row. Apparently mother nature thinks Baton Rouge is Forks. I'm on Lost Light by Michael Connelly. Harry Bosch has actually retired, gasp! But of course he begins investigating an old, unsolved case. We shall see how Bosch handles this one! 

What is everyone reading right now??

1. Not only is Christmas over but now NYE is too :( Downtown was a blast but apparently everyone went to the game in Atlanta. No NYE kiss for this girl :(

2. Who else has a New Years resolution? I really want to stick to mine this year!

3. We finally had our girls Christmas party/game night. Partini was an interesting game!

4. I had my first day of orientation on Wednesday! We've just been doing boring computer modules boo. But I have my first day on the floor on Monday yikes!

5. So I bought The Narrows by Michael Connelly and started it but then realized that I had skipped a book :/ oops. Now, I started Lost Light. Harry has a more somber tone in the beginning. Im interested to see how his character evolves. I'm excited to go back to The Narrows though!
